It's been a longish Winter in Chic-a-go. It still lingers. Winter and I have settled into an engagement. I've taken to a bit of baking, and I make sweets for him. I may be something of a modern day Betty Crocker. Chocolate fudge cakes, Oatmeal raisin cookies, and (my absolute favorite) Strawberry cupcakes (see photo). O my! The apartment smells downright lovely! The only downside to this domestication project: I throw leftovers away. Wasteful. Shame on me. I must phone Winter, Spring break ends tomorrow.

hibernation, fibernation
